This guide is for you if you’re …

Overwhelmed with GoPro settings

You feel confused by the numerous settings and advanced options available. You tend to just choose the higher resolution and pray it will work great.

Struggle to find clear and concise advice

Finding practical information on GoPro settings is hard. You find most videos too long or too complicated. Blogs often leave you more confused than when you started. You end up wasting hours trying to piece together what should be simple and clear.

Frustrated with poor video quality

You feel frustrated by your GoPro video quality. Even if you choose the best settings, it looks trash compared to the official GoPro videos.

Don’t have a filmmaking background

You’re not an advance filmmaker—you’re an outdoor enthusiast who wants to capture great footage without the hassle of complex settings or editing techniques.

From Frustration to Mastery

After buying my first GoPro (the hero 2) few years ago, I went straight into filming a bunch of stuff with my friends.

The first challenge was to set up my GoPro. I felt completely overwhelmed with all the options available. And, as GoPro keeps getting more powerful each year, it’s tough to figure out which settings to use. So, I decided to go with the highest resolution and frame rate, “Can’t go wrong, right?”.

Unfortunately, watching back my videos was very disappointing: my videos looked trash compared to the Official launch video.

So I hopped on YouTube and typed “best GoPro settings” and was presented with 1-2H boring videos that I couldn’t watch. Unfortunately don’t have the patience to spend 1h on video settings. Then I read a few blog posts but I felt even more confused.

If you feel the same, this GoPro guide is for you.
